Decor: 1960s cute futuristic.
Music: 1990s dance club & late 2000s Hot Topic, complete with bumping bass and “I Hate Everything About You.”
I requested staff to turn down the music. They said they could only change it a little due to they’re required to keep it at a certain volume. (The prior sound reading is from before I asked, and this posting’s sound reading was afterward.)
The Kitchen is enclosed, but the bar & expresso-maker are open to carrying sounds from the ice shaker, milk steamer, etc.
Good food & coffee, but the volume left me with a headache.
Speakers are spread evenly around the room. Good mix of sound-reflective and absorbent surfaces (padded booth seats & backs). Loud pop music - I requested the staff to turn it down, but no perceptible change in volume.
Decent with noise-cancelling earbuds in.
