The built-in meter runs on iPhone and on Samsung's Galaxy S-series flagship phones. On other Android phones you rate a place by ear — Quiet, Moderate, Loud or Very Loud — and everything else in the app works the same. Apple Watch users can also see their surroundings' noise data on the submissions screen.
SoundPrint measures the approximate decibel level and is not a replacement for a professional sound level meter. Measurements are a good guide to what a place is usually like, not a guarantee of any single night.
