The automatic door for the Heights entrance is broken, and the Heights staff have said that they are aware and it’s not going to get fixed. There is another entrance only to the library on the other side of the building, which also has an automatic door; that door has worked every time I’ve tried it!
It might be difficult for people with difficulty hearing to have a conversation, not due to ambient noise, but because of social norms in the library that means people speak very quietly.
