Oren’s 3rd St SF location was very loud, up to 90 db, when we had lunch there today. The place was full, and the music was cranked up to be heard over the din of patrons’ voices. The manager stopped by our table, and I commented on the music. He said “Oren likes it loud,” adding that Oren can control the volume from an app on his phone. I noticed suspended overhead a large array of Bose speaker boxes and subwoofers. Oren is obviously serious about quality as well as volume. The experience was too loud for me, though. I won’t be back, except maybe to the takeout counter.
