Traditional French food. Warm service. We sat in the balcony on a Thursday night and watched as the tables filled below. My dining companion said that clearly you had to have a PhD to eat there—full of Upper West Side types. A lovely evening. We could hear each other and though there was a table of four nearby we couldn’t hear their conversation. Magic?
