Sound Information
Average sound level of 70 decibels (Quiet Noise Level) based on measurements taken by users of the SoundPrint
app
. A Quiet Noise Level is safe for hearing, great for conversation.
- Patio: nice covered patio with ceiling fans and wall to block street noise, though the occasional motorcycle
- Music: speakers placed evenly, so possible to find a quiet-ish corner. Still feels a bit loud, due to instruments (piano, guitar, etc)
- Bathroom: Full-wall cubicles with medium-loud fan constantly running. (72 dB = vacuum) Choice of Dyson hand dryer or paper towels.
- Tables: 3ft x 3ft, so at times difficult to hear dining partners across the distance.
SoundPrint measures the approximate decibel level and is not a replacement for a professional sound level meter. The dBA figures in the app and on this site are averages of every SoundCheck submitted for that place — a reasonable guide to what it's usually like, not a guarantee of what it will be on any given night.
SoundPrint's goal is to work with louder venues, not against them.
