Bring earplugs!
At Barrel in DC on Pennsylvania SE. it’s 7:15 on a Thursday and ridiculously loud. Playing dumb music (white boy bar blues) loudly over the already loud clientele in a room of hard surfaces: exposed brick, tin wall tiles. Can barely hear my companion across a small two person table. We’re yelling at each other to be heard.
